West Dorset law firm Kitson & Trotman is sponsoring Chard Equestrian’s Summer Combined Training (Dressage and Show Jumping) league.
The league starts on 1 May with eight competitions running throughout the summer, with the final day on Sunday 8 September.
Kitson & Trotman Partner Tracy Scammell said the firm, which has offices in Bridport, Beaminster, Lyme Regis and Weymouth, said: “We are delighted to support Chard Equestrian through sponsorship.
“It’s a great venue and it is getting bigger and bigger all the time and will soon be competing with top equestrian venues in the country.”
Several of the firm’s staff ride horses for leisure and competitively and Kitson & Trotman advise regularly on equine matters.
The firm is supporting the introduction, preliminary and novice leagues and giving a body warmer to each winner, as well as prize money.
Kitson & Trotman will give rosettes to those placed first to sixth in each of the eight competitions for all three levels.
Chard Equestrian director Jane Gregory said: “We’re delighted with Kitson & Trotman’s support. Sponsorship is very important to us as we run a number of leagues throughout the winter and summer.”
Chard Equestrian is an all-weather equestrian venue which provides a training venue and show ground for all equestrian disciplines and levels of horsemanship. It is based at Higher Purtington, just off the A30 between Chard and Crewkerne
It has been home of the Chard Horse Show for many years and South West Showjumping Club. Jane Gregory took over the running of the equestrian facility in 2013 with the hope of providing a safe and fun environment where children and adults can learn and enjoy their horses and ponies.
“Sponsorship means we can continue to improve facilities for everyone to enjoy,” she said.
