O’HOOLEY and Tidow, the award-winning folk duo of Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow, come to Bridport Arts Centre on 9th June at 7.30pm for an evening of their robust, northern, poetical, political folk music.
With a personal invitation from Billy Bragg to play Glastonbury, sessions on 6 Music and BBC Radio 2, and many five star reviews the duo were praised by Mojo magazine as “one of British folk music’s mightiest combinations.”
From an emotionally charged song about an elephant orphanage in Nairobi to a joyous celebration of the Leeds cycling champion Beryl Burton, they explore, consider and connect subjects and stories in a distinctive, inventive and memorable way.
